For Candidates
How do I create a candidate profile?▾
Register with your phone number, verify with an OTP, then go to your Profile page. Fill in your work types, preferred neighbourhood, and add at least one referee to get your Verified badge.
Do I need a CV to apply for jobs?▾
No. You can apply using voice or text — just answer a few questions about yourself. You can optionally upload a CV from your profile page if employers request one.
What is the Verified badge?▾
The Verified badge appears on your profile once you have added a referee and confirmed your location. It signals to employers that you are a real, trusted candidate.
How does neighbourhood matching work?▾
When you set your location in your profile, Halgian shows you jobs posted by businesses within your neighbourhood and nearby areas. The closer the match, the higher the job appears in your feed.
Can I apply for jobs without creating an account?▾
You can browse jobs without an account, but you need to register and verify your phone number to apply.
How do I pause my profile?▾
Go to your Profile page and scroll to the Privacy & Data Rights section. Click "Pause Profile" to temporarily hide your profile from employer searches without deleting your account.
How do I delete my account?▾
In your Profile page, scroll to the Privacy & Data Rights section and click "Request Account Deletion". Type the confirmation phrase and confirm. Your data will be anonymised within 30 days.
Why haven't I heard back from an employer?▾
Employers review applications independently. If you have been shortlisted, you will receive a notification via WhatsApp or email. Make sure your contact details are up to date in your profile.

For Employers (SMEs)
How do I get my business verified?▾
After registering as an employer, go to your Profile page and upload your business registration document (e.g. a CAC certificate in Nigeria, or equivalent in your country). Our team reviews submissions within 24–48 hours.
What subscription plans are available?▾
Halgian offers three plans: Starter (1 active job, 15 candidate views), Growth (3 active jobs, 100 views), and Pro (unlimited jobs and views, custom chatbot questions, and priority verification). Visit your Billing page for current pricing.
How do I post a job?▾
From your dashboard, click "Post a Job". Fill in the role, work type, location, and pay range. You can use the AI Job Description builder to generate a professional listing in seconds.
What payment methods are accepted?▾
We accept major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) globally via Stripe. In Nigeria, we also support local card payments, bank transfer, and mobile money via Paystack. The correct payment method for your region is shown automatically at checkout.
How do I contact a candidate?▾
Once you have shortlisted a candidate, you can send them a message via the in-platform chat. All communication happens inside Halgian until you are ready to make an offer.
Can I cancel my subscription?▾
Yes, you can cancel at any time from your Billing page. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
How does the chatbot screening work?▾
Candidates answer a short set of screening questions before their application reaches you. On the Growth and Pro plans, you can customise the questions for each job posting.
What happens when my trial or subscription expires?▾
Your job listings are paused and candidate contact is restricted until you renew. Your data and history are preserved so you can resume at any time.

Halgian is a hyperlocal job matching platform that connects people looking for work with nearby businesses looking to hire. We focus on neighbourhood-level matching so candidates and employers in the same area find each other quickly.
Is Halgian available in my country?▾
Halgian is available worldwide. Neighbourhood-level matching works in any city or region globally. Simply create an account and set your location to get started.
Is my data safe?▾
Yes. Halgian is GDPR compliant. We encrypt sensitive data, never sell personal information, and give you full control over your data from your profile settings. Read our Privacy Notice for full details.
How do I contact support?▾

How do I report a problem or abusive behaviour?▾

What languages does Halgian support?▾
Halgian currently supports English, Yoruba, and Nigerian Pidgin. Use the language selector in the navigation bar to switch languages. More languages will be added as we expand.
Is there a mobile app?▾
Halgian is a progressive web app (PWA) — it works in your mobile browser and can be added to your home screen just like a native app. A dedicated mobile app is on our roadmap.
